A wall bare no more

So the main wall in our cute house has been bare ever since Lee moved into it almost a year ago. We didn't know what to put on it. Well, this past May my sisters, my aunt, and my mom and I went to Women's Conference up at BYU, and on the following Saturday we went to my new love...IKEA! "OH MY GOSH" I love this store. I was taking pictures of everything with my camera phone. If you haven't been to this store you have to go!!! So while I was there, I got an idea from a mock-up room they had set up. I knew I didn't want to put pictures of Lee and I up just because I didn't want there to be too many- I thought, I'm a photographer, I'm going to put my own stuff up.

So I got 3 unfinished 11 3/4 x 15 3/4 frames from IKEA that were only $2.99 each. I painted black and them and then I spray painted them with an almond color. I then took some sand paper and ruffed them up. They now look like old antique wood - very beachy! (which look I absolutely love.) Then I found pictures that we took from our honeymoon down in Mexico, turned them into 10 x 13's and sent them to the photo lab I have an account with for my business. And tada!!! We now have something on our wall and it goes perfect with the subtle beach look I have going on in my home! We just love them!

Cabo San Lucas- boats and pelicans on the dock.

Mazatlan- a very cool sign with many cities on it and how many Km away they are. It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland and the purple Cheshire cat.

Cabo San Lucas- another dock with boats.

The final look.

Sheree those pics are so cool. I love anything in black and white. What a great way to remember your honeymoon. Don't they have an IKEA in St. George?
