Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I don't get on here as much as I should but I figured I could take a minute to tell you about some of the traveling I did for work the last little while.
On October 18, 2008 I got on a plane an headed to St. Maarten, in the Virgin Islands. The CPA firm I work for audits the Westin Dawn Beach Hotel & Casino there. I have never been in the Caribbean prior to this trip. Although it was mostly work, we had about a day and a half of free time/touring/relaxing. We covered about 6,000 miles on the St. Maarten trip by the time we got back in Vegas on October 29, 2008.
On November 15, 2008 we took off for New Orleans, LA then drove to Morgan City, LA where we have another audit client. I had never been to this part of the country before. I really enjoyed the trip. The people there are very nice and accommodating. I truly experienced "Southern Hospitality"! Around 3,600 miles round trip.
Last but not least, on December 14, 2008 we flew to Salt Lake City and drove the hour and a half to Wendover, Nevada. It was a very scenic and decorated drive form SLC to Wendover. There was a whole lot of ... nothing! Although I lived in the Wasatch Front for a short time, I never made it to Wendover before. Furthermore, I just so happened to come down with the worst cold of the century the day before this trip too. It was a short trip and I was back in Las Vegas on Thursday December 18, 2008. I figure we logged around a straight 1,000 miles on this trip.
So from October 18 to December 18 I figure I traveled around 10,600 miles.
As Perry Como says "There's no place like home for the holidays", and home I was!
Below you'll find a few pictures I was able to snap while on the road.

So jealous! The only place I ever get to go is Phoenix and there definately aren't any beaches or jambalaya there.
Hey Sheree-
I know you are already doing me a favor by giving my husband a room to sleep in, but I was wondering if you wanted to host a Lia Sophia party next Saturday the 17th? I will be in town for a conference and January is the best month to host - the special is buy one at regular, get up to four half off plus a free pair of earrings. If not, no worries. It's just a fun way to get great jewelry for nearly nothing.
:) Megan
