On our way back to my parents house (about 7 p.m.), I started to get this annoying pain in my back. Nothing new for me, I have a horrible back! But by the time we got to my parents house I was in some serious pain. It was not only in my back, it had now moved to my chest and down into my stomach and sitting down was only making it worse. (It felt like someone was squeezing me as hard as they could, but my insides were trying to burst out kinda like two forces fighting against each other.) After 5 minutes it was completely gone, like nothing had ever happened. Great! I hate pain! We headed home and spent the evening together.
At 9:15 p.m. it was back! I walked circles around my house as I tried to get through the pain, it hurt to breath so I was panting a lot. But again, after about 5 minutes it was done. 10:15 p.m. rolls around and guess what? Yep, the pain had come back again! This time it lasted a little longer. I had to grunt and moan and rock myself while Lee held me up just to get through the pain. By the end of it, I was in tears. This pain was the most intense pain EVER!!! Lee wanted to take me to the ER at this point, but I insisted on just going to bed. At 1:30 a.m. I was awakened to this excruciating pain once more. This time it lasted a lot longer with lots of crying, and moaning. Lee was done and took me to the ER. I still did not want to go, but I must admit that the pain had me nervous for the baby. We drove to Mountain View Hospital and checked into the ER at 2:30 a.m. About 15 minutes later, I was sent upstairs to Labor and Delivery. At this point I was freaking out! I was so scared that there was something seriously wrong with me and that they were going to take the baby. "Would he survive?" is all I could think about. Lee went back downstairs to register me, and I was put into a beautiful gown and hooked up to a monitor for the next 2 hours.
They tested my urine to see is my kidneys were okay, and they were. They told me not to worry about the baby and that I wasn't contracting. They resulted in the fact that the pain was coming from my little goober who was getting on my nerves! Literally, kicking a specific nerve causing me to go through
the. most. excruciating. pain. I. have. ever. experienced. in. my. life!!!
I didn't have another episode again until 5 a.m. this morning. After 30 minutes, I was exhausted! The nurse said it would probably happen more times before I deliver which isn't for another 3 months. Can I keep doing this? I hope it doesn't occur again, it hurts so bad. If labor pains are anything like these pains, then that epidural is going to be my best friend!!!

I can totally relate! JP would get my sciatic nerve when I would try to stand up from my desk and my legs would turn to jelly. I fell over a few times but usually ended up in my chair thank goodness. Hang in there - he's so worth it!
I totally feel for you. I haven't had anything that bad yet, but I do get bad pain if I stand or walk for a long time... same reason, baby is resting on a nerve. Good luck with the last 3 months!
