Camping and 5 minute family pictures

This past weekend was Memorial Day weekend and also the 1st annual Owen Family Reunion up in Pine Valley, Utah. It was nice to get away for a little while and to be in the cool mountains rather than the Vegas heat too. At the Reunion, we played horse shoes, in which Lee and I didn't do to shabby. I came in 2econd in the PVC shooter game. We had a "Guess how many candies are in the jars" game and auction to raise money for next years reunion. William loved being outside, but we think he got too much sun, wind and campfire smoke for one day and was very fussy and we knew it was time to go home. So we packed things up and William slept the whole way home and slept through the night as well. I'm so glad we came home when we did because the next night it SNOWED!!! We would have froze in our tent!

Lee only had to work till noon on Friday so we headed out at 2p.m. and took our time getting there. We stopped in Mesquite to change a diaper and to stretch out legs and to just let William out of the car for a little bit. He did so good by the way. I bought him a mirror to hang in front of his car seat so he can see us and we can see him. It was so cute to see him waving at us through the mirror. When we arrived in St. George, Utah we wanted to go to Golden Corral for dinner but thought it would take too long so we went to Arby's and then went to a thrift store. We found William some cute jeans and some warm pj's for camping, all for $4. Then we headed up to the mountains. We used to camp in Pine Valley every summer growing up, so driving in brought up some good memories.

When we arrived Lee started putting up the tent while I took some pictures of William. He was having so much fun being outside I could barley keep up with him. Finally, Lee came over so we could get some family pictures done. We literally did them in 5 min. due to loosing the yummy light and William's patience. So with the camera on the tripod, remote in hand and my Mom and McKayla making funny faces at William, we quickly started shooting. Overall, I am very pleased with how they turned out and am patiently waiting for my prints to come in the mail so I can put them on my wall.

I don't think it is possible that William could be any cuter! He is adorable. The pictures are all really great.
