When we bought our house last summer we knew we wanted to put in a concrete patio in the backyard, it was covered with very tiny red rock and every time we went outside and then in, we would bring all that rock in with us. It was very annoying especially once William was mobile and wanted to put everything in his mouth. While talking to our neighbor one day we discovered that he laid concrete on the side and he offered to help us lay some. We were so excited!! So a couple months ago, we got to work. Our neighbor and his friend and son worked on laying the concrete and making it beautiful, while Lee and my Dad ran the wheelbarrows. William and I stayed out of the way and out of the heat. We LOVE the new patio and William likes that he can now play outside too. We can't wait until Fall so we can go out and sit and watch William play for more than 15 min.
Next on our "To Do" List:: 1. pay off the car. 2. patio cover. 3. grass.

Ahh.. Jealous.. That's one of the first things on our list to do in the backyard next spring. That and the garden go up in February/March, I think :)
