Lee was pretty excited when he learned that some men in our ward met up at the church on Wednesday nights to play basketball. He hadn't played in a little while, but he thought it would be a good form of exercise plus a lot of fun. So, we went out to the stores and bought him some nice basketball shoes to get him all set to play the game. He excitedly got himself ready to go and then he was off. About 3 hours later he walks in the door and says, "I got hurt." I held my breath for moment and thought, well it can't be that bad, you look fine. He then held up his right hand to show the evidence. His pinkie and his ring finger were taped together. Great. (A little background information. Lee just started a new job. He is in accounting. HE NEEDS HIS RIGHT HAND AND ALL FINGERS!! It took him 31 years to break a bone, but with all the milk he drinks, I'm surprised he broke it at all.) He left it taped up for a few days but they pain was getting worse so he went to a quick care in which they took an x-ray to find out that his pinkie was indeed broken. Fortunately, Lee was still able to do his job and 4 weeks later the cast is off. He still can't straighten his pinkie and he has lost a lot of strength in his wrist but it is getting better.
