Winner of the Golden Ladle

August 19th - 20th was our Annual Ward Camp Out and Chilli Cook Off. Lee informed me earlier in the week that he wanted to enter his Chille. About a year ago, Lee put together his own Chilli recipe and it is GOOD!!! There is a little bit of sweetness to the taste and then a little bit of a bight at the end. Pure PERFECTION!!!

So on Friday night we headed up to Camp Stimpson with our Chilli and camp equipment in tow. Lee's Chilli was Chilli #4. We set up camp and started dinner. While we were heading up to the mountain, my stomach was really bothering me, and while we were eating I couldn't even stand up straight anymore, I was just hunched over in a stabbing pain. When I was pregnant I had really bad pains and I have just recently realized that it is my gall bladder. I need to get in to see a doctor. We realized that we needed to get home because sleeping in a tent with this much pain would not be fun at all, I just wanted some Pepto and my bed. I felt so bad since we set up our whole camp and Lee entered the cook off, but we needed to get home. So, thanks to some men in the ward, they helped Lee pack up real fast and we started to head out, but before we left, Lee jumped out of the truck to see who had won. Lo and behold, it was Chilli #4-
LEE WON!!!!
I was so proud of him and he was sure excited. With all the glory of winning, he also is the current holder of the Golden Ladle. Way to go Lee!
