It is November and what better time than now to reflect on the things I have been given and blessed with in my life. So now through the end of the month I will be thankful for one thing each day. I hope you enjoy.
November 1st: I am thankful that 27 years ago I was born! :) No, seriously, today is my birthday, and I am thankful to be alive and thankful to my parents (who thought they were done having kids) for welcoming me into the family with loving arms. I was baby #5, I can't really imagine having 5 kids right now and especially having a baby without an epidural, but I am so grateful that my parents didn't put a number limit to how many kids they were going to have. If so, who knows where I would be today.
November 2nd: I am thankful for my cute and sweet husband who also happens to be my best friend. He works hard for our family so that I can stay home with William. He is a great support when I am having a hard day, he is the one I love to laugh with, hug, and kiss. "I love you Lee!"
November 3rd: I am thankful for my cute Bubba -that's you William! You are in such a fun stage right now and I love to sit and watch you discover the world around you. You have the funniest laugh that then makes Daddy and I laugh right along with you. You are very loving, and my morning smiles begin when I see your face. You bring so much happiness to our family- "We love you William!" (And yes, I am crying.)
November 4th: WOW! Today I am very thankful for friends who know how to fix computers. Curse those stupid people with nothing else better to do than hack into other peoples computers and put a virus on them. I thought I had lost all of my pictures this morning when in fact they just hid them from me. So, so, so thankful for good, smart friends when I am nearly having a panic attack!!!
November 5th: I am grateful for my knowledge and testimony of the Gospel. As the 2nd counselor in our ward Primary, I got to go to an 8 year old baptism this morning. All the children getting baptized were so excited and when they sang I Am A Child of God, the spirit was so strong. It let me reflect on my own baptism 19 years ago -I remember feeling so clean and pure and knowing that my Savior and Heavenly Father were proud of me. I am grateful for the blessings I receive from being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
November 6th: Today I am thankful for fashionable, yet warm boots to wear to church. BRRR....... Baby, it's COLD outside!! Also, for sweat pants, hoodies, thick socks, blankets and space heaters.
November 7th: I am thankful tonight for Costco Churros, fresh from the oven. Pure yumminess!
November 8th: Tonight I am grateful to get to go to bed early..... so tired.........zzzzzzz............
November 9th: Today, I am thankful for great friends who and I quote, "Have your back" when stupid people are being just that, STUPID and gossiping to others in the ward about you. Gotta love those kind of people who think the world revolves around them and that you have no life.
November 10th: I am thankful that my husband has a good, reliable job during these tough times. But right now, at this very moment, I am very thankful that he has a 4-day weekend to spend as a family.
November 11th: I am extremely grateful for our Military members, their sacrifices for our freedom, their families, and especially our Veterans who never made it home. As a mother, I hold my little boy, and swear I could never let him go. Mother's all over America do it everyday, not knowing what will happen to them tomorrow -those mother's are also my hero's. May we continue to support our US Military, who honor and protect this country and our freedom.
November 12th: I am thankful for hot showers!
November 13th: I am thankful for my loving parents. I am also thankful for Lee's parents who brought him up to be the man that he is today.
November 14th: Grateful for nap time and my sleeping toddler so that I can get started on the butt load of work I need to get done this week. I'm so tired just thinking of everything.
November 15th: Grocery shopping is usually a hassle with William because he hates sitting in the carts. But, today I am grateful that he was a good little boy so I could get us some groceries for our trip next week and for Thanksgiving as soon as we come home.
November 16th: I am thankful for Q-Tips, or Cotton Swabs as some people call them. I have always loved the feeling of cleaning my ears and once I am done showering, it is one of the first things I do. It just about drives me crazy when I am out of town and I forget them. This is actually a good reminder for next weeks vacation: Don't forget the Q-Tips!!
November 17th: I am thankful that I slept better last night. I have not been sleeping well the last couple of weeks and it royally stinks, last night was a treat for sure!
November 18th: Thankful to have been given the strength to get through the day today. So much to get done before we leave Sunday and I've had an on again, off again headache all day. Thankfully, a handful of almonds take headaches away for a couple of hours and I was able to get a lot done. Much more to do tomorrow.
November 19th: Thankful to have crossed everything off my to-do list.
November 20th: Today I am thankful for ponchos and shelter from the pouring rain!
November 21st: I am thankful for Walt Disney and the wonderful memories he has filled my family with. For giggles and big smiles on my little boys face from seeing Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse, and for a husband who still accepts me for being the Disney fanatic that I am!!
November 22nd: I am thankful for cameras so that I can capture our memories, giggles, and grins and be able to look back at pictures and remember all of the happy memories that we have made together.
November 23rd: I am thankful for our car that gets us from point A to point B.
November 24th: Today I am thankful that my whole family could be together for Thanksgiving today. I am sad to say goodbye to my sister and her family tomorrow after spending a whole week with them. I am also thankful for Candy Bar Bingo!!
November 25th: This morning I am thankful for a husband who gets up for Black Friday deals since I don't think it's worth it. He got some fun stuff for a good price this morning and I got to stay in my warm bed until William woke up. "Way to get some bonus points honey!" :)
November 26th: I am thankful for the cleaning kick Lee has been on today. He hasn't asked me to help once and I'm not volunteering.
November 27th: It's hard to be thankful today when my little man has a 101.3 fever, the sneezes, yellow boogies, such sad eyes and a horse voice. But I guess I am thankful for modern medicine to bring him some relief. So, I am thankful for Saline, Vicks baby rub, Vapo Steam, humidifiers, kleenex and Tylenol. Get better Bubba!
November 28th: I am thankful that William slept through the night last night. After the night before of no sleep for all of us, we really needed that.
November 29th: I am thankful that I was able to purchase my last 2 Christmas presents online today..... after 2 days of trying! My boys are going to be so excited and surprised come Christmas morning.
November 30th: I am thankful for my talents. I have been blessed by my Heavenly Father with many talents, mainly my love for creating art through photography. I have loved it since I was 15 years old and now I am able to help provide an extra income for my family while staying home with my baby during the day -that's all I've ever wanted to do and Heavenly Father made that possible. I am also thankful that because of this talent, I am able to decorate my home with pictures of my family without emptying our pockets. So thankful!!
November 2nd: I am thankful for my cute and sweet husband who also happens to be my best friend. He works hard for our family so that I can stay home with William. He is a great support when I am having a hard day, he is the one I love to laugh with, hug, and kiss. "I love you Lee!"
