It was time for us to take a family vacation and I was successful at convincing Lee that we should go to Disneyland. We headed to Disneyland November 20th - November 23rd with my Mom, brother Daniel, sister McKayla and my sister Stephanie and her family. We had a BLAST!!
The first day we were there it was C.O.L.D. and windy and we could tell that the rain was on it's way, but we thought it wouldn't be too bad and people would clear the park and it would all be great. Wrong! As soon as we entered the park it started raining, nothing too heavy, just enough to annoy you when your trying to have fun. Lots of people did leave the park which was nice and we had ponchos and umbrellas but with it being so cold, our hands never seemed to dry. We stayed in the park for about 4 hours when it started to downpour. We decided that since we road a lot of rides it was probably best to go back to the hotel before one of us especially one of the kids got sick. The whole way back it POURED!!! When we were almost back to the hotel, this moron in a car purposely splashed my brother-in-law Jon. Since we were already wet and because everything is funny when it happens to Jon we all laughed but did think that guy was a jerk! After warm baths and pj's we had dinner and went to bed in hopes that tomorrow would be a better day.
Not a cloud in the sky. It was perfect! William's favorite ride was the Carousel. We saw Winnie the Pooh several times and Mickey Mouse in the parade and that made the trip worth while. William just loves those two and whenever he saw them, he got the biggest smile on his face. The park was decorated for Christmas and it was beautiful and I loved hearing Christmas music throughout the park. It's a Small World was also decorated and was so cute, the line was insane but we got to ride it twice while we were there and it was great. Lee's favorite ride is Screamin', in California Adventures, he loves the take off! :) I also loved seeing his face as he got off the ride. Even though I was 12 weeks pregnant at the time, I held up well. I never once got sick -to be honest, I think I was too busy to notice if I did. On the other hand, once night came I became very tired and we headed to the hotel to put William and I to bed. Lee went back to the park with my Mom and brother to see the fireworks and snow and then they came back. I do wish I could have seen that, but I was out like a light before Lee got back.
We can't wait to go again, it will probably be a little while but we want to make sure we take the new baby someday too. Thanks Walt for the memories!
