The Nativity

Sometimes with all the decorations, presents, delicious Holiday food and endless shopping, it's easy to find yourself forgetting about the true meaning of Christmas -sad, but true, even for some of the best of us. Lee had a great idea to head to St. George, UT for a night to see The Nativity out at Tuacahn. Lee saw it while he was in college at Dixie and we saw it the year we were married and loved it. So, last Thursday afternoon we did just that. William was great in the car and was actually pretty darn good the whole trip. (Good job little buddy) The show started at 8 and boy was it C.O.L.D. but we had fun. As soon as Mary and Joseph rode up on the donkey I was in tears, (yep, I'm pregnant and way more emotional this time around) the spirit was strong and I loved that I was able to be there to feel it.

After the 20 minute show, we saw Santa Clause, took funny pictures of William and enjoyed all the Christmas lights. William fell asleep in the car on our way back to the Hotel, so Lee and I took advantage of that and went and got Frozen Custard.
"Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............ is all I have to say about that!"

After a crappy nights sleep thanks to a HARD bed, we hit the stores for some shopping and also stopped by the Tabernacle for a tour. I'm a little embarrassed for not knowing that there was so much history in St. George and not fully knowing the story as to why the Saints went there, but I have been educated and the Tabernacle was beautiful. We then went to Golden Corral (again, Mmmmmmm....) I love that place and then headed home. It was a quick but fun 20 hour family vacation that I'm glad we were able to take.
