I've never been much into Valentines Day, it's always come across as a pretty cheesy holiday for me, but with William, I want to start doing some fun stuff. And if I'm going to do that, than I knew I needed to start doing the same for Lee. So just before he left for work this morning, I surprised him with this small and simple gift..... Donut Holes. :)
...... He loved it.
William got a slice of toast with grape jelly in the shape of a heart and a cut up donut hole with some Strawberry milk. After breakfast we got cleaned up and went to see Grandma Huntsman to deliver a Valentine's Day card for Grandma and Grandpa. Our personalized cards are always a big hit with them!
For dinner, we had a romantic night in with a 1 1/2 year old. I prepared one of our favorite dishes, and one I only make about once or twice a year -Olive Garden's Tuscan Garlic Chicken. Mmmmm.................. Lee also brought me home a very sweet card telling me how much he loves me. I LOVE that man!
I guess the lesson I taught myself today is that Valentine's Day is only a Hallmark Holiday with cheesy gifts if you make it one. I chose to make it a fun and hopefully a memorable one for all of us. We finished the night by taking pictures of eachother.
I love my Loves!!
