Friday afternoon I sent my two boys up the mountain for their first Father and Sons Camp out. Lee was pretty excited about the whole thing and William didn't know where they were going, all he cared about was that he got to go "Bye-Bye" with Daddy!
William LOVES being outside, so Lee said he was everywhere and having a blast. They even had a Bobcat loader for a digging project they were doing and every time William heard it come on, he ran to investigate.
That night it got C.O.L.D. Lee had forgotten how cold it got up there and apparently him and William didn't sleep much. They snuggled in the same sleeping bag to keep warm but they were still freezing. By morning, William was pretty cranky from the lack of sleep and the cold, so after breakfast and fetching William out of the stream, my boys headed home.
Even though it didn't turn out as good as Lee had hoped, they both still had fun. My Dad took my nephew Ryder and my brother Randy took his son Clayton as well. Better luck next year when William will be a little bigger. And next time we'll pack more blankets!
