STILL pregnant.......

Do you know how badly I want to watch Father of the Bride 2 right now?  Stupid Netflix doesn't have it anymore.  I love that movie, and I could use a few good laughs right about now.

I totally feel like Debbie Downer, but it is really discouraging going past your due date.  I can't even check the progress of the baby on my pregnancy calendar anymore because it has run out of days.

Yesterday was Her Due Date.  That makes me officially 40 weeks and 1 day pregnant.  William was actually born on this day for his pregnancy, but I labored all day and night of his due date.  This little girl is not showing too many signs of wanting to come out.  This morning I woke up at 4:41 am with what I think was a small contraction.  I laid there in bed excited that things could possibly be starting and awaited my next contraction.................... 2 hours later I was sitting in the rocking chair shedding slow tears of disappointment.  No more contractions came.  About 11:30 am I started my daily walk on the treadmill and my noon I could feel my stomach tightening a little, but again, nothing else happened after that.

Yesterday, a friend of mine had her little baby girl.... 2 weeks early, at the hospital I will be delivering at on my baby's due day.  While I was SO excited for her and her flippin' adorable little girl, I was so depressed.  It was supposed to be my day and I felt like Heavenly Father booted me out of the way.  But seriously, her baby is so cute, so I can't help but be happy for her and her family!

Some things I have tried in my attempt to get this bowling ball out of me and gain a baby in return are the following:

  • Speed walk.  (We started walking as a family about 3 weeks ago, but since last Thursday I have been jumping on the treadmill once a day for 30 minutes, 15 of those are on an incline.)
  • 50 squats a day.
  • Lightly jogging through my house while William chases me and laughs at how goofy and pathetic I look, I'm sure.
  • Galloping.
  • Ice pack on top of my belly.
  • Spicy food.
  • The Wild Monkey Dance..........
  • Pineapple.
  • Bouncing on my pilates ball.
  • Dancing.  Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes is our favorite.
  • Pilates.
  • Running up and down my parents stairs.

It's all rubbish I tell you!
I guess I need to call my Doctor soon before I get in trouble................

My sister in law is convinced I will have her tonight since it's a full moon.  A friend of mine seems to think scheduling an induction for tomorrow night might scare baby and I'll possibly have her tonight.  I PRAY they are both right!

Wish us luck!

UPDATE: {6.5.12}
  1. Called the Doctor and the Nurse who schedules inductions was not in.  She has yet to call me back which is fine with me.

  2. 9pm last night a women from our ward who is a Midwife stopped by the house and stripped my membranes.  It wasn't near as bad as I had imagined it would be.  A half hour after she left, I started having contractions.  I was able to sleep through them but would wake up periodically throughout the night and feel them.  By 3am they had stopped.  BUMMER!  She said she would come by tonight and do it again if I'm not being induced or in labor already.
